2011 ENERGY STAR Partner of the Year

The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) honored 111 Energy Star partners who have demonstrated leadership and commitment in protecting American’s health and the environment through energy efficiency achievements during an awards ceremony held April 12th in Washington DC. The 2011 Energy Star award winners include manufacturers, retailers, public schools, hospitals, real estate companies and home builders. Forty-four organizations were honored as the 2011 Energy Star Partner of the Year including Boeing, Colgate-Palmolive, Hanesbrands, Kohl’s, Panasonic, Sears, Staples, and Design Tech Homes. “Partners like Design Tech Homes that build homes that earn the ENERGY STAR are helping American home buyers find comfortable homes that also save money on energy bills and protect the environment,” said Elizabeth Craig, Acting Director of EPA’s Office of Atmospheric Programs. ”Home builders such as Design Tech Homes are building an energy-efficient future for America’s families that will continue to deliver savings for years to come.” Out of 8,400 qualified home builders, Design Tech Homes is the only custom home builder to receive the 2011 Energy Star Partner of the Year award.
